We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new Melrose hair salon, nestled in the heart of downtown Aix-en-Provence, on Place des Prêcheurs. The inauguration of this new space took place on Friday June 14, 2024 alongside its founder, Gaëtan Teixeira. To mark the occasion, which was celebrated by employees, customers and neighboring artisans, an apéro dînatoire was offered to participants, providing an evening rich in tastings and conversation. Our salon project in downtown Aix-en-Provence is the culmination of hard, passionate work to create a one-of-a-kind space. More than a hair salon, Melrose aspires to offer its customers a true experience where every detail has been meticulously thought through and carefully applied. We wanted to create a space that is both modern and elegant, reflecting our artistic vision and our desire to offer a new concept that has never been seen elsewhere.
Our ambition has remained unchanged since the beginning: we want to offer a salon that captivates and embodies the Melrose universe. With this in mind, we began by focusing on raw, elegant materials such as stainless steel, scratched concrete, leather and the emblematic Melrose glass, enhanced by touches of black. This environment, both sophisticated and innovative, perfectly illustrates our desire to innovate and offer our customers a setting that is out of the ordinary.
A fine, unique line of art
The design of our Melrose men’s barbershop was born of a deep-seated desire to steer clear of the conventional and usual design of barbershops in Aix-en-Provence. By blending industrial materials like stainless steel and scratched concrete with more refined, elegant elements like leather, contrasted by a color that evokes a subtle freshness, we’ve created a unique balance with an avant-garde ambition.
Black, the shade that has accompanied Melrose lounges since their inception, remains omnipresent in this universe and underlines its duality with stainless steel and white, bringing a delicate and luminous atmosphere. Each material has been carefully selected to guarantee a unique visual and tactile experience. This new space is first and foremost a place of inspiration and exchange for lovers of design and beautiful spaces. It is also a major inspiration for our next artistic line of Melrose salons. This environment, currently under construction, will feature unique design spaces, just like the Melrose in Aix-en-Provence.
